Jacques Heim

Jacques Heim, a French fashion designer, founded his house in 1930.
Innovative and visionary, Heim is especially known for introducing the bikini in 1946, initially named ‘Atome’.
On top of his contributions to seaside fashion, Jacques Heim dressed renowned celebrities and helped out with the popularity of the French Haute Couture until he died in 1967.
Marc Bohan and Jean-Louis Scherrer headed the fashion house, nevertheless, it ended by closing.
