HERMÈS - (Made in France) Silk and cashmere foulard / shawl topstitched by hand, entitled "Les Roues de Phaéton", designed by Pierre Marie and produced in 2020. Phaéton, name of the Sun's son in Greek-latin mythology, was a horse-ridden vehicle famous in the late 18th Century in France and England. Pierre Marie, the designer, gives an overview of the one preserved in Émile Hermès's collection. The edges of the foulard, framed with harmonious curves, is ornamented with a palm pattern representing Émile Hermès's office carpet, where the precious vehicle is exhibited.
