Jean Patou, a French fashion designer, founded his house in 1914.
Renowned for his innovations, he popularised the sportswear and casual style with chic beach clothing and sports dresses.
In 1929, he launched ‘Joy’, one of the first designer perfumes, which became a perfumery icon.
After he died in 1936, the Jean Patou house continued to thrive with different artistic directors such as Christian Lacroix.
