Thierry Mugler, a French fashion designer, founded his eponymous house in 1974. Known for his avant-garde and spectacular creations, Mugler revolutionised the industry with audacious silhouettes, marked shoulders, and fitted waists.
His collections are often characterised by innovative materials and architectural cuts enhancing women’s silhouettes.
Among Thierry Mugler’s emblematic elements, you can find futuristic suits, sculptural evening dresses, and Sci-Fi inspired pieces. Mugler also marked the fashion world with theatrical fashion shows and audacious publicity campaigns.
After he withdrew from fashion in 2002, Mugler continued to influence the industry as creativity director for different artistic projects.
